One of the greatest experiences that will create lasting memories and help your children and teens discover ways to serve God and others is by taking our year-end Family & Faith Short-term Mission Trip. High on the rewarding scale is being together and witnessing the growth in personal faith as your kids learn how to serve people and participate in sharing the life-changing message of the gospel.
Our short-term trips foster a lifelong dedication to God’s vision for the nations and helps
cultivate a heart for service within your own community when the family returns.
In addition, we also see a strengthening of the family unit.
1. Short-term trips are designed for our students and their whole families to serve on the
mission field together.
2. Each trip embraces the Biblical model that includes the Great Commandment (love
people and meet their physical needs) AND the Great Commission (share a credible
opportunity to respond to the life-changing message of the gospel).
3. Each trip is designed to include our students (K-5 th ) and their families in daily
activities like Vacation Bible School; prayer; eyeglasses; basic medical exams
(professional healthcare folks); sports camps; children activities; musical programs led
by our students; children’s Biblical theatre; new believers Bible study classes and as
many other activities as will appropriately minister to the local community’s needs.
4. Adequate accommodations will be provided for all of your family depending on how
young your children are. We are committed to plenty of rest, comfortable beds, hot/cold
showers, most generally we will stay in national well established hotel chains.
5. Yes, there will be scheduled times for rest and local sightseeing.
6. You will know what food options are available and how food allergies will be
accommodated. We are committed to nutrition and well-fed experiences on the field.
7. You will be well versed in what safety measures and procedures team leaders follow
during the trip specifically concerning children.
8. Yes, the Academy will provide preparation, training and debriefing materials for
families in helping your children process the trip.
9. An end of school year family mission trip is an opportunity for God to work not just
during the mission trip, but throughout each members lives, fostering faith, commitment
to the Great Commandment & Great Commission, and a deeper spiritual purpose for
your family that you will be sure to cherish.
