EDUCATION

While Christian values, character formation, and leadership development are integral priorities at First Baptist Academy, the institution’s main priority continues to be providing a thorough and well-rounded education. Year after year, our mentors and staff are committed to supporting your child’s comprehension of the curriculum and ensuring they are well-prepared for progression to the next grade level.

CURRICULUM

First Baptist Academy, in partnership with Liberty University, will offer a robust and comprehensive curriculum.  Each school day will begin with a short assembly that includes prayer, a devotional, and the recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance. On Wednesdays, this assembly will be extended to include a short Biblical message presented by a senior member of the Academy staff. All students will participate daily Bible classes, and additional coursework will be assigned according to grade level.

The curriculum for kindergarten and first grade includes mathematics, literacy, history, and science. Beginning in second grade, literacy will transition to language arts, and from third grade onward, geography will be added to the daily program.  In third grade, geography will be added to the daily schedule. Parental engagement is strongly encouraged; parents are welcome to observe classroom activities and are invited to participate in the morning assembly.
