ACADEMICS

ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

A supportive and nurturing environment, combined with instruction from a Biblical worldview, forms the foundation of First Baptist Academy. The staff employ a range of teaching methods and styles to meet the unique needs of every student. By using small groups and differentiated instruction, they maintain strong academic standards. Teachers and parents collaborate to nurture each child’s character, emphasizing honoring God in every action. In the Elementary School, each child will be paired with a High School mentor to encourage relationships and friendships.

The curriculum is structured with vertical alignment from kindergarten through 12th grade, ensuring smooth transitions between each grade level.

MIDDLE SCHOOL

Mentors and staff, working collaboratively with parents, will facilitate the transition from elementary to middle school while emphasizing character development and spiritual growth for every student. Consistent with practices at the elementary level, each middle school student will be matched with a High School mentor, thereby sustaining supportive relationships designed to promote ongoing personal development. The partnership between parents and mentors plays a crucial role in supporting children’s spiritual development and intellectual growth. The Academy will continue to prioritize maintaining a learning environment where students are inspired to honor God in their everyday actions.

Following the Elementary School objectives, the Middle School curriculum is designed with consistent alignment through 12th grade to support seamless transitions between grade levels.

HIGH SCHOOL

As students move into High School, mentors and staff will keep working closely with parents to help ensure a smooth transition from Middle School, focusing on both spiritual growth and character development. High School students will be paired with Elementary and Middle School peers to create supportive relationships that promote personal and spiritual growth. The continued partnership between parents and mentors remains essential for nurturing both spiritual development and intellectual maturity as students near graduation. The Academy is committed to providing a learning environment where students are inspired to honor and serve God.

The High School curriculum is structured to equip students for further academic pursuits post-graduation, while facilitating smooth progression between grade levels. Eleventh and twelfth-grade students have the opportunity to enroll in college courses concurrently, which may enable them to earn an associate degree at the time of graduation.
