ACADEMICS
Although the Christian development, character building and leadership development are
paramount at First Baptist Academy, education remains the Academy’s central purpose.
Each year the mentors and staff are committed to ensuring your child comprehends the
material taught and is thoroughly prepared to progress to the next grade level.

CURRICULUM
In partnership with Liberty University, First Baptist Academy will offer a comprehensive
and challenging curriculum. Each school day will commence with a brief assembly that
includes prayer, a short devotional, and recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance. On
Wednesdays, the assembly will be extended to feature a short Biblical message
delivered by a member of the Academy’s senior staff. All students will participate in daily
Bible classes, while additional coursework will vary according to grade level.
Kindergarten and first-grade programs will encompass mathematics, literacy, history,
and science. Beginning in second grade, language arts will replace literacy, and from
third grade onward, geography will be incorporated into the daily schedule.
Parents are encouraged to be involved in their children’s learning and are welcome to
visit the classroom and are invited to attend the morning assembly.
