Blanca Beard joined First Baptist Church Leander alongside her husband, Glenn, in
April 2022. Known for her high standards in culinary preparation and kitchen
management, as well as her commitment to serving others, she was asked to be Food
Service Director for First Baptist Church. Upon the establishment of First Baptist
Academy, Mrs. Beard was selected to oversee the kitchen operations and now serves
as Food Service Director for both the church and the academy.

Mrs. Beard has devoted a significant portion of her life to serving children, including
sixteen years at Agua Viva Guarderia, an orphanage in Baja California that provided
care for up to fifty children simultaneously. During her tenure, she held positions as
assistant director and food service director. Her commitment to children's growth
motivated her to support their development and advancement; as a result, one
individual has become a doctor and two have pursued careers in nursing. Many former
students maintain regular contact with Blanca.

Mrs. Beard is married to Glenn Beard, who serves as Young Adult Ministry and
Assimilations Director and also holds the roles of Dean of Students and Security Chief
at First Baptist Academy. Together, they have six adult children and eight grandchildren,
with a ninth grandchild expected soon.
